Tom Thomazin is a Licensed Pastor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with families over the past 35 years.  Tom graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education in 1984 and from California Baptist University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology 1991.  He received his Marriage and Family License from the State of California in 1995.

Recently Tom retired from a 16-year career with Riverside County Department of Mental Health, where he worked as a Mental Health Services Supervisor for the Children’s Department, overseeing the Therapeutic Residential Assessment & Consultation Team (TRAC Team).  In this capacity Tom worked with hundreds of individuals and their families covering a broad spectrum of mental health disorders, and in various venues across the state, including some out of state placements.  His unit was responsible for assessing and ensuring that all Riverside County Placement Youth who were Medi-Cal recipients from the various Departments of: Social Services, Probation, Education and Mental Health received both the general and specialized Mental Health Services that they needed.

In addition to be the founding therapist of Cornerstone Counseling and running his own private practice of 20 years, Tom has served as Pastor at The Well Church in Yucaipa CA for the past 11 years, in which he oversaw the areas of Administration, Counseling, and Worship. Tom has been a successful speaker at numerous conferences and marriage retreats. His most recent retreat event was speaker for the Pastors & Wives Retreat of the Inland Empire Southern Baptist Association. Tom's specialty is in the area of relationship communication and healing broken and/or hurting marriages.
